What was the highlight of Grand Hotel Bonanno Pisa
Ideal place to stay- will be back!
Within walking distance of a branch station and also the main station as well as the leaning tower, the hotel was well situated. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, the bar was also handy as a place to have a drink or just relax.
There was no tea making facilities in the room but you could easily bring a travel kettle - or buy a hot drink from the bar (very reasonably priced) and take it to your room.

Excellent stay marred by noise disturbance on the first night
The staff were very polite, professional and friendly. The breakfast room was lovely and included a wide selection of fruit cakes. The mattress was comfortable and I was unexpectedly upgraded for free to a large bedroom.
On the first night due to strong winds something was banging loudly which meant I slept poorly. The walls must be thin as a couple next door were talking in till 1 am! The other nights I slept really well. I would also mention the pipes make noise presumably because it's an older building.
